Comfort Where You Have Been Comforted
Alicia Reagan has faced significant challenges throughout her life. After suffering a spinal cord injury in 2009, she has lived paralyzed from her chest down and daily chronic nerve pain ever since. In 2020, her life story took another twist with the end of her marriage, due to devastating choices outside of her control.
Now a single mom and raising her children alone, Alicia has found the courage and determination to press on through difficult times because of the strength of the Lord. Despite all that she has faced, she continues to look for hope, healing, and joy in life by seeking biblical answers to the questions of loss, suffering, pain, faith and healing.

Her heart in starting Voice for the Vulnerable is to walk the Emmaus road of suffering with others - to comfort others where she has been comforted, to speak the hope of the presence of Jesus into the lives and hearts of others, as they are also being practically supported and helped. Loving not only in word, but also in deed.

In addition to speaking and local engagement, she is committed to equipping churches so they know how to recognize, reach and respond to vulnerable people groups in their communities. Working to train churches on the best ways to interact with these individuals, she also provides resources such as workshops, counseling sessions, group meetings and other programs that meet the unique needs of each person. Additionally, she is working to develop a network of volunteers who are ready to offer compassionate care and understanding when needed.
Alicia's ultimate mission is not only to give practical help, but also emotional support, by creating a safe space where everyone feels seen and valued regardless of their circumstances. At the same time, it is her aim that by offering support and guidance, the ministry will ultimately lead those served closer into God's presence. Ultimately, she seeks to be a voice for the voiceless, so that each person can experience true freedom - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
